Peter K. Enns, Co-Founder & Chief Data Scientist
Peter is an Associate Professor of Government at Cornell University. For nearly 20 years, Peter’s research has focused on public opinion analysis and innovative survey design. He is the Executive Director of the Roper Center, the world’s largest archive of public opinion research. Peter has published two books – “Incarceration Nation: How the United States Became the Most Punitive Democracy in the World” and ”Who Gets Represented?” He has also written dozens of academic articles & op-eds (e.g., The New York Times, FiveThirtyEight, Washington Post).

Ben Leff, Co-Founder & CEO
While studying government at Cornell, Ben worked countless hours at the University’s research center conducting numerous survey studies by random digit dialing Americans. This method of polling seemed antiquated, and it left Ben frustrated in his inability to connect with and to effectively understand people’s viewpoints. After two years at Goldman Sachs on the Impact Investing team, Ben came to Stanford Business School motivated to develop a system using tech and consumer insights to modernize how we understand voters and consumers. Ben graduated Stanford GSB as an Arjay Miller Scholar, and he founded Reality Check Insights. Ben’s recent work for Reality Check has been featured in Forbes, CBS, and The New York Post.

Jake Rothschild, Senior Data Scientist
Jake recently completed his PhD in political science at Northwestern University, where he honed his skills as a researcher of public opinion and political behavior. His methodological toolkit includes survey design, experimental techniques, and the analysis of textual data. Jake has published research on voting, partisanship, and the social dimensions of political attitudes. This work has appeared in academic journals such as Political Behavior and Politics, Groups, and Identities and has been featured in outlets like the LSE Blog on United States Politics and Policy. While at Northwestern, Jake served as the Director of Academic Support Services, and later the Interim Director of Operations for the Northwestern Prison Education Program.
